David Janelle
wood puzzles

Originally from Maine, David earned both BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine. Working for a number of companies in manufacturing engineering and mfg management David learned how to make things economically while dealing with a myriad of issues at the same time. He has made guns, weapon systems, motors, revolvers, DIY showers, circuit boards, heavy machining, and more as various assignments along the years. He became involved with puzzles in 2003 when he needed work and quickly learned that there was a business opportunity dealing with something he loved. Over the next ten years or so David studied classical puzzle books, communicated with novice and professional puzzle designers and developed the techniques and equipment necessary to design and fabricate fabulous puzzles in his Florida workshop. David enjoys running, fine wines and the study of Thai language and culture.
