About the artist:
Richard and his father created the first Yardbirds® sculpture over 20 years ago in Jamestown, KY. He spent most of his career making things out of metal, including farm gates and large satellite dishes. They began talking about all the things one could make with scrap materials and, after experimenting with things around their own home, the first Yardbird® was born. People instantly loved them as much as they did, so they starting making Yardbirds® full-time. Now, Yardsbirds® are made in Louisville, KY using overrun, discontinued, rejected and scrap materials as much as possible. Some of the items used include garden tools, car parts, farm implements, bicycle parts and mufflers. Yardbirds® save rejected metal pieces from ending up in a landfill and they beautify homes and yards everywhere!

Hand-crafted in the U.S.A.
