These hysterical mini-sculptures are the perfect gift for the "impossible" person on anyone's gift list. No matter what profession, sport or hobby you want depicted, artist Greg Quayle and his son Jeff can create a flea for it! They can even customize your sculpture with a name or text along the wooden base or in a cartoon balloon overhead.

Greg has actually been sculpting metal since 1968, when he was only 13. Four years later, Greg began selling his artwork in his own retail store even before he graduated from high school. That was the year Greg created his first flea sculpture. The fleas were an instant hit and eventually enabled Greg to leave the world of retail and focus exclusively on his creative side.

Greg's son Jeff began helping his father weld the tiny steel rod sculptures at the tender age of six. ("Yeah, let's give a six-year-old an acetylene torch for Christmas!") Jeff is all grown up now, graduated from college and working again for the family business.

Nowadays, the father-son team produces by hand more than 230 original designs at their Original Flea studio in Rocklin, California, . And they've done dozens of custom sculptures for Creations' customers. In fact, one creative grandmother was so thrilled with the unique "toddler flea" the Quayles designed for her grandson's first birthday, she promises to have one made annually to commemorate something special in the boy's life for that year.
